Two zeros at the Best Western in Banner Elk. Six of us holed up in a room. We gorge on the free breakfast. Explore town. Try more restaurants. Watch all the Star Wars movies. Learn about the local Scottish clans who partake in the Grandfather Highland Games. Enjoy these brief days of rest.
Eventually, it’s time to move on. Really, I think, all the lessons from the trail could be summed up into one: Keep going.
